Article 1. Data Controller — The controller of the personal data collected through the GizmO app is the company under the name “RiAct Single Member Private Company” and the trade name “RiAct Mon. I.K.E.” (hereinafter “the Company”), headquartered at 411 Vouliagmenis Avenue, Ilioupoli, P.C. 163 46, with Tax ID 802226397, Tax Office KEFODE Attikis, and General Commercial Registry (GEMI) number 172512903000, lawfully represented by its Manager Sotiria (Iro) Karanikola. Article 2. Scope — This Privacy Policy applies to every processing of personal data carried out by the Company in the context of operating the GizmO app and the gizmo-app.gr website, both with regard to pet owners and to professional partners (veterinarians, groomers, trainers, pet shops, pharmacies, pet hotels), and is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), Law 4624/2019 and the general Greek and EU data protection legislation.

Article 3. Categories of data collected — The Company collects and processes the following categories of data. First, identification and contact details, namely full name, email address, telephone number and location, which are required for account creation and matching with nearby professionals. Second, payment details, which are submitted directly to a third-party payment service provider and are not stored in full form by the Company. Third, data concerning the user's pet, such as name, species, breed, age, photos and medical history details (vaccinations, treatments, medication), which the user voluntarily enters for the operation of the digital medical record. Fourth, application usage data, such as appointment history, interaction with professionals and device technical data, which are collected automatically for the operation and improvement of the service.

Article 4. Purpose and legal basis of processing — The processing of your data is based, as the case may be, on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR. Performance of the use contract concluded by accepting the Terms of Service, for purposes such as account creation, matching with professionals, appointment management and processing of partner subscriptions. Your consent, where required, in particular for sending informational messages or using non-essential cookies. The legitimate interest of the Company, for purposes of security, fraud prevention and service improvement, to the extent that this interest does not override your fundamental rights. And compliance with a legal obligation, in particular regarding the keeping of tax documents.

Article 5. Recipients of data — Your data may be disclosed to the following recipients, always to the minimum necessary extent. To a third-party payment service provider, for the processing of subscription transactions. To hosting, data storage and technical support providers of the application, who act as processors by instruction and on behalf of the Company, bound by a corresponding data processing agreement. Retention period — Your account data are retained throughout its validity, and are deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period from account deletion, subject to data which the Company is obliged to retain for a longer period under tax or other legislation, in particular payment documents, which are retained for the period required by the Code of Tax Procedure.

Your rights — As a data subject, you have the right of access to your data, the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data, the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability of your data in a structured and machine-readable format, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing already carried out. The Company responds within one month of receiving the request, with the possibility of extension by two further months in case of complexity, following relevant notification to you. Article 8. Cookies and related technologies — The GizmO app website and application use cookies and corresponding technologies, distinguished into strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the operation of the service and do not require consent, and optional analytical or advertising cookies, which are placed only after your express consent and can be revoked at any time through your device or browser settings.

Article 9. Data security — The Company applies appropriate technical and organizational security measures, such as encryption of data in transit, role-based access control and regular system checks, in order to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, leakage or alteration. In the event of a data breach likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, the Company will inform you without undue delay, in accordance with the GDPR.

Article 10. Minors — Registration on the GizmO app presupposes that the user has reached the age of sixteen. For users under the age of sixteen, the consent of a parent or person exercising parental responsibility is required. If the Company becomes aware that it has collected data from a minor without the required consent, it will delete it immediately.

Article 11. Amendments to this Policy — This Privacy Policy may be amended periodically, in particular to adapt to legislative changes or changes in the operation of the service. Any material amendment will be notified to you through the application or by email before it enters into force.
